The story

I bought a house in Portugal.

I’m a firm believer in documenting your dreams. These pictures are all affirmations of what I envisioned for my life and a recreation of what I felt in those moments.

Ten years ago, my life changed after a wildly impulsive, last-minute college party. I met someone who later brought me to Costa Rica. Punta Leona was amazing, but his home was even more so. As a Black boy from East Orange, NJ, it warped my perspective on what life could be. I gave myself five years to own a home, internationally.

I didn’t hit that mark. I ended up in Sintra on a whim, and wrote #HomeGoals on a villa I was looking at. Five years after Sintra, eleven after Costa Rica, Casa Keam is that dream: a house that is rented through the year, and a testament I want to stay in the family.

It’s been a long ten years of sacrifice and hard work. Every crashed couch, every failure, every heartbreak brought me here. All glory to God for this opportunity and my upbringing.
