How many guests?
Three bedrooms sleep six. Sofa beds in the living room can add extra beds on request — the home is listed for six.
Where is Casa Keam?
On the hillside in Santana, on Madeira’s north coast. Funchal is about 35 minutes by car. Search Casa Keam on Google Maps — it is listed there.
How far is the airport?
Cristiano Ronaldo Airport (FNC) is about 30–45 minutes by car, depending on traffic. A rental car is the straightforward way to the house.
Do I need a car?
Highly recommended. Casa Keam sits on a hillside above Santana. Buses reach the village, but the levada trailheads, Pico Ruivo, and evening meals are much easier with a car. Parking and an EV charger are at the house.
Which hikes are nearby?
PR1.1 starts across the street from the house — see our PR1.1 guide. PR9 Levada do Caldeirão Verde is a short drive to Queimadas — a moderate walk through tunnels to the waterfall (day-trip notes).
What time is check-in and checkout?
Check-in is after 3 pm. Checkout is by 11:00. Write casakeam@gmail.com if your flight lands earlier and we will try to help.
Are pets welcome?
Pets are welcome for an additional fee. Please say so when you book so we can prepare.
Is there parking and an EV charger?
Yes. Private parking at the house, and an EV charger for guests who need it.
What is the weather like on the north coast?
Santana is greener and cooler than the south, and nights drop even in summer. Pack a warm layer, and rain for the levadas; there is a fireplace in the home.
